There’s a strange kind of magic that happens when you’re forced to stop.
Last week, I was hit hard—completely knocked off my rhythm by being sick.
The kind of sick that makes you cancel everything, lay in bed with your thoughts, and question everything you should be doing.
And if you’re anything like me, slowing down can feel like failure.
But this time, something shifted.
In the stillness, I reached for something I hadn’t fully committed to before: a wellness journal.
It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t aesthetic. It wasn’t part of a new routine I had built for myself. It was just me—sick, tired, uncomfortable—deciding that if I couldn’t do everything, I could at least write. Reflect. Feel. Heal.
As someone who lives and creates through the lens of duality, this was my reminder: pain can coexist with purpose.
Illness with inspiration.
We don’t always have to be performing to be progressing…
That’s what duality is. That’s what I stand for.
In that space, I realized I didn’t have to abandon my goals. I could pivot. I could still show up for myself and for others in a way that was honest and sustainable. And now I invite you to do the same.
I’ve linked the wellness journal I’m using in my Linktree—because this isn’t just about healing when you’re sick. It’s about building a practice of tuning in to your mind, your body, and your spirit… especially when life gets chaotic.
If you’ve been feeling off, overwhelmed, or out of sync, maybe this is your sign to slow down and turn inward.
You don’t have to wait for a breakdown to start rebuilding…
Here’s to finding power in the pause, and beauty in both the shadows and the light.
Rise and Reign, always.
